Dr.
Fadad Mobin is a highly regarded, board certified spinal and general
neurosurgeon specializing in the care and treatment of spinal disorders, ranging
from sciatica to complex reconstructive spinal surgery and microsurgery. He
completed the prestigious neurovascular and microsurgical fellowship at U.C.L.A,
prior to assuming the role of director of Neurosurgery at Daniel Freeman
hospital. He has more than thirteen years of experience in the field of
Neurosurgery and has completed nearly 2,000 spinal and cranial procedures. His
surgical techniques are known for delicate tissue handling, minimally invasive
approaches, and microsurgery.
His expertise is general neurosurgery, with an
emphasis on diagnosis and treatment of sport-related/ traumatic spinal injuries,
degenerative disc disease, cervical and lumbar radiculopathies, sciatica,
ruptured disc disease, central nervous system tumors, and peripheral nerve
entrapment syndromes. He has been an invited speaker on topics relating to
evaluation and surgical techniques for the cervical spine.
After graduating
summa cum laude from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York with
a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Physiology, Dr. Mobin earned his medical degree
with the highest honors at the University of California, Davis. He also
completed his neurosurgical training with an emphasis on complex spinal surgery
at UC Davis. Upon completion of his residency, he obtained specialized training
in both functional and stereotactic neurosurgery, cerebrovascular and skull base
surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Mobin is a clinical
faculty member at UC Davis department of neurosurgery and has received many
awards including the Alpha Omega Alpha and Outstanding Senior Resident of
Neurosurgery at the UC Davis School of Medicine. He has published multiple
peer-reviewed articles and belongs to numerous professional societies including
the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological
Surgeons, and the AO North American Spine Society. He has previously served as
the director of neurosurgery at the Daniel Freeman Hospitals. Currently he is an
esteemed member of the spinal care program at D.I.S.C.
